A pediatric dental home for families across Greater Sacramento

Our office is in Gold River, California, but the families who call us their children's dental home come from neighborhoods across the Sacramento region. From Rancho Cordova next door to Folsom up the corridor, to Carmichael, Fair Oaks, Citrus Heights, and El Dorado Hills, this is where we serve.

Where we sit on the map and why it matters

Gold River is a small unincorporated community of roughly eight thousand residents tucked into Sacramento County between Rancho Cordova and Fair Oaks. Our office at 11230 Gold Express Drive is sited at a geographic sweet spot, three minutes from Highway 50, four minutes from Sunrise Boulevard, and within a fifteen-minute radius of nearly every major family neighborhood in the eastern Sacramento metropolitan area.

That position is the reason families in fourteen different cities and unincorporated communities choose us as their children's dental home. We are close enough to be convenient for school-day appointments and far enough from the freeway noise to feel like a calm, forested place for kids to walk in. The waiting area was designed to feel less like a clinic and more like a hideout, with tree-canopy graphics, soft lighting, and animal mascots, because the first dental visit shapes a child's relationship with dentistry for the rest of their life.

Closest to our office

Our nearest neighborhoods. Drive times here are short enough that school-day cleanings, multi-visit treatment plans, and special-needs desensitization schedules all stay practical.

Within 20 minutes

A short drive across the region

A short drive for routine care and a worthwhile drive for specialty pediatric services families cannot find closer to home.

Within 35 minutes

Worth the drive for specialty care

We do not pretend to be the convenient choice for routine care here. Families travel from these communities specifically for IV sedation, special-needs accommodation, or laser frenectomy, where the right office matters more than the closest one.

Getting here from anywhere in Greater Sacramento

From Rancho Cordova, take Folsom Boulevard west to Sunrise Boulevard, then turn left onto Gold Express Drive. Average drive time three to seven minutes depending on time of day.

From Carmichael and Arden-Arcade, take Fair Oaks Boulevard or Madison Avenue east, then Sunrise Boulevard south to Gold Express. Average drive ten to fifteen minutes.

From Folsom, El Dorado Hills, and Cameron Park, take Highway 50 west to the Sunrise Boulevard exit, then south to Gold Express. Average drive eight to twenty minutes.

From Citrus Heights, Orangevale, and Granite Bay, take Sunrise Boulevard or Greenback Lane south. Average drive twelve to twenty minutes.

From Roseville, take Sunrise Boulevard south or Highway 65 to Highway 80 to Highway 50. Average drive twenty to thirty minutes.

Free parking is available directly outside the suite. The building is single-story and step-free, which matters when you are arriving with a stroller, an anxious five-year-old, or a child who uses a wheelchair.

Specialty care, not just proximity

When the closer office is not the right office

A local general dentist can clean a child's teeth, but pediatric dentistry is its own specialty for a reason. Dr. Scott Pyo is a board-certified pediatric dentist, which means a residency dedicated to children, infants, and special-needs patients. Many of the families who travel from Folsom, El Dorado Hills, or Roseville are not making a convenience trade; they are making a specialty trade.

The two services that draw the longest drives are IV sedation, where families want a board-certified dental anesthesiologist on the case, and special-needs dentistry, where the child's experience depends on a clinician trained specifically for sensory, behavioral, and medically complex care. The third is laser frenectomy for infants with tongue or lip tie, because the right provider matters more than the closest one when your newborn cannot latch.

For everyday cleanings and checkups, drive time matters. For specialty care, the practice you choose matters more than the miles. Visit any of our location pages above for the families we serve most from each community.
