Pediatric dentistry that starts at age one

The American Association of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children see a dentist within six months after their first tooth erupts, or before their first birthday. We will get your child started on the path to a cavity-free lifetime.

A positive first experience

Your child's first dental visit

It is important that your child has a positive experience during his or her first dental checkup. We want you and your child to feel comfortable at our office and enjoy your experience with us. As such, we treat all our young patients with patience, kindness, and compassion.

When you visit Gold River Pediatric Dentistry, you will find a warm, fun, and safe environment that will help your child relax and be open to learning about good oral health practices that will last a lifetime.

Preventative dental visits

Depending on the results of your child's initial dental exam, we will recommend follow-up visits for preventive care and treatment at six-month intervals, or sooner. Our six-month recare appointments are necessary for professional dental cleaning to prevent the buildup of plaque and tartar that are responsible for gum disease and caries.

Dr. Scott will also examine your child's mouth to identify any dental decay or problems of the gums and other oral tissues. These visits help to ensure your child has a healthy smile and to build a strong relationship with our dental team for ongoing follow-up.
